Reinventing Organizations

This was, for me, one of the most inspiring books when it comes to creativity, courage and care in the business world. Laloux describes the business models of 12 organizations from various domains and continents that achieved impressive and sustainable high performance through principles and practices that often come aside or even against what is taught as management sacred laws at many top business schools in the world.

Whether any of the models, beliefs and practices described in the book can be adopted or adapted in a Romanian organization, is a question only the reader can answer. I attended few workshops with the Dutch organization mentioned in the book and my answer is that some of their systems and processes would be highly beneficial in many of my clients’ organizations, be it startups, scaleups or large companies. The main challenge lies around the level of autonomy leaders and teams are willing to demand, maintain and develop systematically.
