Roger Bax was one of the pseudonyms used by Paul Winterton, an acclaimed journalist for the News Chronicle during WW2 and a very successful author of crime fiction. A founder-member of the Crime Writers' Association, he penned 30 novels for the Crime Club. On 'Blueprint for Murder' wealthy industrialist Charles Collison is found bludgeoned to death shortly after his son, Geoffrey, and nephew, Arthur Cross, return from World War II. As the principal beneficiaries of Charles' will, both men are suspects. Inspector James, called in to investigate, thinks he knows which of them is guilty.
